Usually, the higher perspective we have on something, the “truer” it feels. The astronauts view of the Earth from space and the perspectives they are sharing, are giving us a “truer” picture of the Earth, and how everything on the planet is working in balance. This higher perspective has also given us a chance to look at humanity in an expanded way.

The Forest

First, let’s take a look at what we’ve done to the trees. The Redwood Forests used to cover giant land masses in North America and now they’ve been cut down, shoved back, and reduced to small patches of preserved areas where you can still feel the energy of these wise and ancient trees. We can only imagine what the energy of the forest must have felt like when it was a dominant life force on the planet.

The People

Second, lets take a look at what we’ve done to the people. The Indigenous people used to live in harmony with the land across North America and now they’ve been suppressed, shoved back, and reduced to small patches of land we call Reservations.

Humanity can do better, and this is the time to make a shift towards more balance with the Natural World. We tend to think that what we do … doesn’t matter, but the real story, shown to us from space, is that what we are doing isn’t good for the planet - or for us. But this Higher Perspective is also helping us understand that The Spirit of Humanity is made up of individual human beings. Individual human beings can fix it.

If we could talk to Mother Earth, what would we say?

“The first time we saw you from space, we all had to take a step back and catch our breath. Our hearts swelled with appreciation and wonder, and we had this overwhelming feeling of awe. We experienced a feeling of pride, and gratitude that we get to live here - that this is our home.

For the first time - we were able to look “back” … at ourselves … as a global humanity. It helped us realize that we are all in the same boat and it made us aware that we have to protect this beautiful planet. It made us realize that the air we breathe is the same air that has always been here, and the water we drink is the same water that has always been here, and that all our natural resources are …. precious!”
